For my Technology Education class at school, I have to make a t-shirt for my project. The following picture is going to be my design for my shirt:

I have nothing against Daniel Tosh, in fact, I watch his show, TOSH.O on Comedy Central, and it is HILARIOUS!!! It just sounded like a good idea for a shirt and it seemed easy to make.

AlternativeTo

There is a website called AlternativeTo. It gives you alternatives to most software you use. It doesn’t matter what Operating System you use, as long as it is Windows, Mac, or Linux. It also give alternatives to mobile applications. To find alternatives, just type in the name of the software in the search box in the upper-right hand corner, and push the magnifying glass button, or press enter.

For example, I typed in ‘Internet Explorer’, and pressed enter.

A list of results then appears with the names of different software that are related to the software you searched. Find the software that you were looking for the alternative to and click on it.

I clicked on the Internet Explorer box because I wanted to find an alternative to it.

When you get to the software page, you will see a description of the software inside the blue box. Then under it, there are different tabs. The tabs are ‘Alternatives’, ‘Information’, ‘Comments’, ‘Twitter’, and ‘Widgets’.

If you click on the ‘Alternatives’ tab, you will get a list of alternatives to the software.

If you click on the ‘Information’ tab, you will get some information about the software.

If you click on the ‘Comments’ tab, you will see comments that others placed on the software.

If you click on the ‘Twitter’ tab, you will see what other people said about the software on Twitter.

I really don’t care about the last tab that says ‘Widgets’.

I haven’t been updating this blog for a while now. In fact, I have not checked up on it for almost a month. So today, when I went on, I was surprised to see that I had 696 visits! Wow, people still visit my blog when I don’t update it. Thank you, my viewers!

New Old Computer!

eMachines t1125

I had an old eMachines t1125 down in my basement from 4-5 years ago. I put it down there because it was broken and it wouldn’t startup. I’ve been busy lately trying to fix it up, and a couple of days ago, it started working again. I put in a new hard drive (320gb vs the 40gb that it came with), I put in another stick of RAM (making the total 512mb; 2 256mb sticks), Windows XP Professional 32-bit ( I think the computer previously had Windows 2000, but I am thinking of switching to Ubuntu), and a new 11N Wireless PCI Adapter (Internal). The hardware total came to about $400.

Specs:

Intel(R) Celeron(TM) CPU

1300 MHz

1.29 Ghz, 512mb of RAM

Crash Different

A Toyota Prius hybrid is like a Macbook. It won’t stop until you yank the battery out. But wait, where is the battery? You don’t want to smash your $1000 Macbook open. And you definitely don’t want to jump out of a moving vehicle just to go to the front and open the hood, just to unplug the battery. Below is a video from Saturday Night Live.
